Why Use a Finance Broker?

Use your bank. Then compare the options.

Your bank may have a very good option. I can compare it with a wider panel of lenders, explain the differences and tell you honestly when the bank’s offer is already strong.

Direct with Eric

I’ll tell you when the bank’s option is strong

I’m Eric Burnett. I’ll look at the purpose, the business and the available lender policies. If your bank’s offer is already the sensible choice, I’ll say so.

A broader comparison. A straight answer. No call centre.

One scenario, different policies

Why another lender may see the same business differently

Different lenders have different credit policies, appetites, security requirements and ways of assessing bank statements.

Your bank’s option

Your existing bank may know the business and offer a competitive solution. It is a useful place to start, not an option I automatically dismiss.

A wider lender panel

I can consider multiple lender policies, including options outside one bank’s appetite. That can reveal a better fit, but approval and price are never guaranteed.

A policy match

The aim is not simply to find any approval. I’ll look for a structure that makes sense for the purpose, cash flow, term, security and total cost.

What I’ll consider

More than an advertised interest rate

The lowest headline rate is not always the lowest-cost or most workable option. I’ll compare the parts that matter to the business.

  • Purpose and amountWhat the finance needs to achieve and how much is genuinely required.
  • Business profileTrading history, turnover, bank statements and credit profile where relevant.
  • Structure and securityTerm, repayments, balloon, fees and whether an asset or property may support the application.
  • Total fitEligibility, lender policy, speed, flexibility and the likely effect on cash flow.

What happens next

A simple, direct process

  1. Tell me the scenario

Send the short enquiry or call me directly.

  2. I review the options

I’ll ask only for the information needed to make a sensible comparison.

  3. You decide

I’ll explain the practical differences. You choose whether to proceed.

Common questions

Before you enquire

Should I get a quote from my bank first?

You can, but you do not have to. If you already have a bank quote, send me the key details and I can compare the structure. If you do not, I can still review the scenario.

Does a broker guarantee approval or a lower rate?

No. Every option depends on lender eligibility, policy, credit assessment and the applicant’s circumstances. A broader lender panel may create alternatives, but it does not guarantee approval or a cheaper outcome.

Will sending the form affect my credit file?

No. This form is only an enquiry. I will explain and obtain consent before any formal application or credit check.

What types of business finance can you compare?

Depending on the scenario, I may be able to help with vehicles, equipment, working capital, business loans, overdrafts, debt refinance and property-backed business finance.

A practical second opinion

See how the options compare

Tell me what you are trying to finance. I’ll review it personally and come back to you with a straight answer.

Every application is subject to lender eligibility, policy, credit assessment, approval, rates, fees and terms. A wider lender panel does not guarantee approval or a lower rate. The example in the video explains how different lender policies can create alternatives; it is not a promise of a particular outcome.
